By far my most adventurous year to date has been 2017. I traveled to 17 new countries that year. Here’s a look back on the people I met and the places I visited. Sadly, I also lost my cousin that year.

Here my tour guide demonstrated how slaves were shackled to the post when they were suspected of inciting resurrections. As I was told the post was much higher than it is in the picture. Imagine the post being waist high. Oh how tormented their bodies must have been. Apparently many died as they remained in that position for hours if not days. They urinated and defecated on themselves in that position too.
